My husband and I do exactly that Straight outta money I have baseball twins shirt, separate accounts that our paychecks go into we don’t share how much we have because it doesn’t matter it’s our own money but if we are getting low for some reason we talk about it before it turns into debt. We share what we call a “bill pay” account which is purely just for bills nothing else any extra money left after the bills are paid stays in that account for emergencies. We know we each deserve some privacy as we are each our own person and it gives us the financial freedom to an extent.
